ASTC 2022 Expo Hub Graphics
We work regularly with the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC), and recently had the pleasure of designing graphics for their annual conference, which attracts nearly 2,000 museum and science center decision-makers. It was great to help them communicate the amazing work that they do, including many projects that we collaborated with them on.
These projects include
Designing for a central hub
ASTC wanted to create a hub for conference attendees to convene and learn about the initiatives they have been working on. The hub also provides institutions with information about the many available resources ASTC has to offer.
Using the design elements we created for their strategic plan document, we designed the hub graphics to be eye-catching from a distance while giving additional content when up close. The size, shape, and quantity of the sail-like frames were pre-determined, so we worked within those parameters to create these graphics.

Showcasing the community science and advancing equity & Justice initiatives
We created graphics related to other initiatives we worked on with ASTC: Community Science and Advancing Equity & Justice. These smaller environmental graphics were designed to communicate to the conference attendees what the initiatives were all about, and what resources ASTC can provide to their institutions. We used several methods to create these graphics including stretched fabric, table-wraps, direct to substrate printing, and cork-board materials. Some had a more ambient presence, while others prompted interaction with the audience.
